- About Me:
- After Whites Creek in 1988...I ventures off to school at MTSU with some of my fellow LIT sister's. Transferred to TSU after two years and changed my major to Criminal Justice. I had a son, Kylan, who is now 16 and a Sigma man. (You can find him on the Sigma page). Graduated from TSU and ventured into politics at the local level. Worked for Juvenile Court, in public housing as a probation officer. Got involved in program development and grant writing. This effort became my passion, seeking funds and services to help people! Years later, I pursued my Masters in Public Administration and graduated from Cumberland in 2000. Since that time I have worked at Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency working to revitalize our public housing in Nashville....now you see the color houses all over the city. In addition, I have done some great work with the Leadbelly Foundation where Tanya Singh is the Director. I always keep a side venture, whether it is grant writing or evaluation (Dept. of Education, afterschool programming), PR work with TGM Entertainment, program and event planning with organizations like Teens Against Drugs and Guns, or hosting as MC to various community events. Janet still has the gift to gabb...lol
