MaD Battle Organization meeting will be held in the band room on Jan 21st at 6:30pm. Anyone who plans on participating with WC will need to be at this meeting.

It is time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MaD Battle 2010 is approaching.
Mass meeting for all participants will be held on Jan 11th @ Maplewood High School Band Room 7:00pm. If you plan on participating then you need to be at this important meeting.

You are about to get caught paying $20.00 at the door on Saturday for the new skool battle. Only a few more $10.00 tickets avaliable at Sound Stream Records across from KFC!!

Band Competition this Sat. Oct 24th @ Maplewood High School, 2pm. Featuring Whites Creek, Maplewood, Stratford, Pearl-Cohn, Shaw (Cleveland, OH) Fayette Ware (Somerville,TN) marching bands. Mr. Churchwell will be one of the judges! Come out and support your school. Tickets are only $5 kids 12 and under free. In case of rain, event will be moved inside.

Marching in whites creek band of distinction was a wonderful experience for me. Props to Mr. Churchwell as well as Mr. Morton.

What exactly was your disappointment and what do you think you can do to "get our band back"? I am an alumni of WC and I was in the band and I am also on the staff with Mr. Morton and and have been for about 14yrs. If you haven't realized that kids have changed, metro schools have changed how they view the fine arts period! Did you know the former school board director Mr. Garcia made it to where a child had a choice between band or Gym? Last year we graduated 31 seniors and that would be a big hit to any program! So the problem is not the band it's the system period especially when you get 50 kids who haven't played an instrument since 6th grade. Also, look at all the band black band programs and tell me who is doing that great right now?

Good morning WCHS Band of DInstinction Alumni. I went to the 'Creek' last night to support our school and was very disappointed in our band. I would like for us to get together and get our band back to being 'the baddest band in the land'. They need our help. I'm not really sure how to go about this, but maybe we can start by meeting with Mr. Morton and the band staff to see how we can help or what we can do. I'm open to any and all ideas.

In celebration of the class of '84's 25th Anniversary we thought it would be fitting to include our brothers and sisters, older and younger making it into a Cobra family affair! So we've tried to coordinate activities with a "pay as you go" concept instead of asking for monies up front for Hotel Ballroom rentals, catering, etc. Having said, it brings me to the subject as hand: WE NEED YOUR HELP ASAP!!! Your contribution of at least $10 or $20 dollars is needed to go towards operating costs such as website maintenance, janitor fees for gym clean up, gifts, trophies, entertainment, and food for Sunday's Cookout.

Please send your check or money orders to me at the address below. Make them out to WCHS MASS CLASS REUNION. Be sure to include your donation form that can be printed off the website www.wchsmassclassreunion.com . Or go to any Bank of America branch in your area to make a contribution and email me once your transaction is complete. NO AMOUNT IS TOO SMALL OR TOO BIG!!

By the way, if you haven't purchased your Commemorative Reunion T-Shirts, please order them ASAP! We will be wearing them at the Basketball game. Plus, a percentage from each shirt sold will given back to us courtesy of Donn Jobe.
