The School board is trying to shut Whites Creek down.

it is to my understanding that the test scores are low at the creek..when a school fails for 2 years in a row they re-arrange staff..the same thing has happened to several other schools..i know alex green elementary was one several years ago..its just sad cause its not all teachers that are lazy and not teaching..there are some good teachers out there that care..i dont think they are trying to close the school just trying to get the school to over all pass.....

I hope that is the case. I have some friends who work with some of the people who make those types of decisions and they have told me for years that they wanted to close it which is why I said that. Don't know if you knew this but the school board illegally rezoned all of the black schools. Whites Creek, Maplewood, Pearl, and Stradford. They stuffed all those kids into hunters lane so that they could get extra money for some program that they wanted, but the money is going into the school really, they are stealing it and putting it straight into their pockets.

i know the school board dont have the BALLS to close down Whites Creek and they never will. if they did where do the people around the kings lane/bardo area go to?.....Hillwood, come on now that's to far of a drive! and the rest if the people either Hunters Lane(which they been overcrowed/wall to wall since day 1) or Maplewood. since 2003, the school had been trippen on some other/a lot of things cause of some teacher dont care if they pass or fail and/or dont have a time of day with them cause they want their cheak. plus the school had 4 principals in 6 years now something is wrong with that picture. i think they (tryin to) shaking/changing/shaped up the culture/style of Whites Creek for years but the rich tradition and heritage that's still continues, but however something hads to be done to put the right teachers and principal(s)(like a joe clark type or bruce bowers....remember him) who care about the school(pride and sprit) and the students. all i can say is to PRAY FOR THE CREEK to get better and successful this coming up school year. the school broad knows(or dont know) that the creek hads a STRONG tradition and heritage that cant be broken.

They removed MR. Bowers becuase the test scores went ujp in 2001. That's why the rezoned it and that's why the got rid of him. He still works at the school board he does perssonel. He knows who's being hired.
